Football Game against Brandon

We lost to Brandon Middle School Tuesday night in overtime. It was an exciting game. Brice was upset with himself because he missed some crucial passes but the coach said he played well. Hopefully he will continue to improve. Shelby didn't have her soccer game this week. It was rained out. She has another one on Monday so I will try to post pictures of her then. Brice and I will be in Baton Rogue this weekend for soccer and Philip will be here with the other two. This has been a busy week. I think every week is busy!

Madison Central Tailgate Party

Eli is totally chilled out! He was enjoying the shade and his chicken nuggets. Our Youth Pastor calls this chicken the "Christian Chicken". It's from Chic fil a. Our favorite!! Eli had his face painted and played football with Philip some before we headed to the game. Eli and I left after the half time "crowning of the homecoming queen". He had plenty of fun and was ready for bed.
Shelby had a good time with her friends. They wandered around looking at other tailgaters. I think they were looking for food. I'm not sure Shelby or her friends knew there was a football game going on. They didn't stay in one place for very long and had to ask if we won at the end. They had a lot of fun though. I guess when you are in middle school, a football game is all a big social event.
Brice and his friends had a fun friendly football game of their own before we went to the high school game. He said he was sore after this game. I think he was enjoying being off from soccer this weekend. He invited several of his soccer buddies to come to the tailgate party. We had plenty of food and sat around and talked for awhile. The football game was really bad. I think the score was 21-3. I thought you were suppose to play someone at your homecoming game that you can beat easily. Eli said, "mom, I feel sad for the Jaguars!" I told him I think the word was embarrassed!

Football Game against Pearl

Here is some video of Brice's football game Tuesday. We lost big time but Brice played really well. I wish he could have caught the pass in the endzone but maybe next time. Sorry for the poor quality of video. That's the best I can do. We have had a full week this week with soccer, football, tests, homework and homecoming festivities. This is Homecoming week for the Jaguars (high school) and it trickles down to even the elementary schools. They have dressed up all week leading up to tomorrow. Movie characters to Senior Citizens. Shelby dressed like Minnie Mouse today and Brice was an old man. Tomorrow is Blue and Orangd day and all of them will be in full gear then. We have a big tailgate party tomorrow night and then the game. I'm looking forward to a weekend at home. We have several projects on the schedule (school and home) so we will be busy but at least we are at home.

Shelby Girl

Shelby was getting upset because I haven't posted any pictures of her so here she is. I was really waiting until she played soccer to put some "action" shots of her but she has two games today and I won't be here to see her. Brice and I will be headed to Little Rock, AR today for a game today and one tomorrow. I will miss seeing her play her first two games. I am sad...
Shelby has been busy with school. She said that 6th grade is hard. There is a lot to keep up with and a lot of new things to get used to. She is doing very well though. She brought home a progress report on Thursday with all A's and one B. Her dad is coaching her soccer team this year and I think we will be pretty good. Shelby will be playing in goal and foward/mid field. I will get more pictures of her up soon. Sorry Shelby, that it took me so long to get a pic of you on my blog! I love you!!!!

Brice's 1st Football Game

Philip loves how Brice puts his hands on his hips. I guess he feels more intimidating!
He is ready with this stance. Notice the gloves!

Brice did alot of blocking on his first night of football. He says that his coaches will be suggesting some more plays where he will hopefully catch some passes.
It was a great night for football. There was a little breeze in the air. We were all there to cheer the Jaguars on to victory. We won in the last 10 seconds. The score was 14-12. We played a small town south of Madison called Byram. They had some really big boys though. Brice is not the smallest on the team but up against these big boys he sure does look small. I'm still trying to learn how to put video on this blog. I may have to wait until my brother comes for a visit to teach me how. I have some of Brice making a good run and good block. I'll keep working on it and see if I can figure it out.

Weekend Soccer

Brice had a tournament this past weekend. We did go to the finals but did not play well. I hope our team gets it together and starts to play better. It can be very frustrating for the parents sitting on the sidelines wishing we weren't there. Shelby will start her games next week. I will post some pics soon of her. Brice has a football game tomorrow night. I'll post a pic of that also. That should be interesting! We have a busy week ahead. Every night is full. Mama said there would be days like this but I'm ready for the break...

The last week or so...

Last weekend we went to our good friend's house in Canton. They had 4 wheelers for everyone, including Eli. He had a blast. He hit a hole at one point and fell off so he wanted it turned to the lowest setting and stayed close to the house from then on. We grilled out and had a great time.

Meet the Jags night! At the Middle School last night we had a time to see all the sports team members and the cheerleaders, dance team, band, etc. Brice was introduced as one of the football players. Can you believe that! He is probably one of the smallest ones out there but he is having fun. It is fun to see him play something else besides soccer. He has played soccer since he was 5 years old so it is a big change. I'll post pictures of his first game. It will be Tuesday night.

The 5 of us!

For some time now we have wanted to start a blog. We have so much going on in our lives it's hard to keep everyone up to date on us. We hope that you enjoy our updates. Please let us hear from you soon.

This picture of us was taken in July when we went to Destin with my family. My (Lori's) parents were celebrating thier 50th wedding anniversary and rented a house big enough for the whole gang to come. My brother, my sister and her family and several friends joined us. It was so much fun. We stayed a week and I could have stayed several more.
